Australia's Western Australia, known for its innovation and technological advancements, is gearing up for an exhilarating event - the first-ever WA Space Week! Set to take place from November 25th to 29th, this week-long celebration will highlight the State's thriving space industry and its intersecting technologies.

A Fusion of Space Exploration and Innovation

WA Space Week will feature a series of captivating events, with three major conferences to be hosted in Perth. Among these conferences are the prestigious Australian Space Education Forum (ASEF) organized by the Andy Thomas Space Foundation, the 2024 Indo-Pacific Space and Earth Conference (2024 IPSEC), and the 2024 Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF).

ASEF: Designed to inspire students and educators, ASEF will showcase the vast array of career opportunities in the space industry. It will also offer training sessions for primary and secondary school teachers to delve into the world of space technology.

2024 IPSEC: Building on the success of last year's event, this conference will bring together delegates from 12 countries and five space agencies. The focus will be on fostering international collaboration, sharing innovative ideas, and exploring opportunities in space and cross-sector technologies.

APRSAF: Celebrating its 30th annual session, this conference will concentrate on sustainable and responsible space sector growth in the Asia-Pacific region. With Perth as the host city for the first time, this event is set to attract attendees from over 40 countries.

Unlocking Innovation and Economic Growth

The increased utilization of space technology and data holds the key to diversifying Western Australia's economy. By integrating space applications into sectors such as resources, energy, and agriculture, the region aims to drive decarbonization and promote sustainability.
